"Bodhi" means awake. We each have an opportunity to awaken our inner self so that we may live a happy and peaceful life. I invite my clients to clear away obstructions that limit their ability to become their best selves.
Besides running Bodhiworks, I also work part-time at a local hospital in the Cardiology Department.
Credentials
I graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in April 2005 and is licensed to practice massage in CT (#4147). I also hold a Masters Degree in Exercise Science and maintain certifications as a Kripalu Yoga teacher and with the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health Fitness Specialist.
Walking the Talk
I first became interested in yoga as a means to manage the discomforts of my back pain secondary to scoliosis. I later added receiving regular massage to my self care routine.
As a long distance cyclist (completed 2 centuries in 2009--a century is a 100 mile ride performed in a single day), I understand the demands athletes and weekend warriors expect from their bodies and the need for bodywork as part of their wellness program.
Professional Development
I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, ACSM Alliance of Health and Fitness Professionals, Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association and Litchfield County Women's Network. |
